Airbender Bending Air

yehaaa~~!! yesterday i watched The Last Airbender! even though we have a lot of casualties, *i mean it when i said that, we managed to watched it. the 'we' were my bff, G and my auntie Ucu and my lil bro and sis and my lil cousin. *ngeeee~ the selected cinema is TGV Bukit Raja. *i wondered why the air conditioners were so freaking cold! i almost die, ya know? nevertheless, let see what i think about The Last Airbenders, ea?

as usual, the graphic first. i thought it was smoking hawt! the way Aang (the main character a.k.a Avatar) plays with Air and Water is so cool! and the surroundings aren't bad at all. i loike the part when Aang go to the temple full with statues of the last Avatars. it's super cool. i really loike it. and ofc, Aang lovely Appa, the flying bison is kinda cute. *hahaha. the Fire Nation's prince, Zuko and his uncle are good with Fire. and i thought Zuko is kinda weak. his uncle better than him. *hmm.

the storyline aren't bad but maybe too short for the cartoon series. i mean, i rarely watched it but G and my lil bro said the movie is so short and isn't good as the cartoon series. well, i think this movie will have another sequel. and another sequel. and so on. but i think the storyline is good. honestly, i think when Yue, the Water Nation's princess sacrifices her life to protect the Moon Spirit, it's saddened me. and i think Sokka, *Jackson Rathbone! yehaaa!, really suits her well. the main storyline probably is redemption of the past. Aang thinks he causes the war as he ran away, *i think it's true. it's his fault, but as he tried to redeem his own fault, he works hard to protect the World. and that's what the director trying to show in the movie. Katara, Sokka's lil sis really cares for Aang. and willing to stay by his side until the last. *wohooo!!!

but ofc, the characters aren't same as the cartoon series. suddenly almost entire actors and actresses are European. and i know Aang is Asian even though i rarely watched the cartoon series. this movie sure do change a lot but i assumed the fans for Avatar: The Last Airbender's cartoon series, would think twice or 20 times before watch this movie. *nonetheless, the graphic and the trailer is quite promising.

the rating for this movie is 3 out of 5 stars. the credit goes to the graphic, the fighting style, the fast but short storyline and Jackson Rathbone. *opssss, ehehe. the duration is too short, one hour 45 minutes but it has a story in there. the morale values: friendship, scarification, redemption of the past, saving the world and so on. yes, this movie has a story in it. maybe, just maybe, the director would think twice or 20 times before making another sequel. because, I WANT MORE! *hahaha :)
