Last Tuesday I went to nearby TGV to watch two movies - Paranormal Activity 3 and The Thing. Along with me were R, Tata, Appa and Nisa. It has been a long time since I met those three - Tata, Appa and Nisa - so we talked a lot, laughed a lot and screamed a lot. To be honest, those two movies were awesome choices to watch if you crave for screaming (I know...) In fact, I watched with both of my palms as the protector. Anyhow, this is the first movie's review.
Plot: This movie takes us into Katie and Kristi's lives when they were young children. In this movie there are certain main characters; the step-father Dennis, the mother (sorry I forgot her name), the step-father's buddy Randy and the grandma (she rarely appears but once she does...) So the lovely couple lived together in the new-bought house (it's huge!) with the lovely children. However when the youngest, Kristi found a new imaginary friend named Toby (it's a cute name to the most dangerous ghost I have ever seen) the nightmare begins.
Characters: There are few characters that have left marks on my mind. First is Randy. To be frank he was funny. Even when the ghosts harassed him, the words he uttered were very spontaneous and hilarious. This is a horror movie but you will smile when watching him.(Smiling, laughing and screaming too) The second ones is Toby. Man, this is a ghost that is very menacing. He was a tall, old man (based on what Kristi described in movie) and had a power beyond any other ghost. Seriously, he was scary. The third is the grandma. Okay, I know this sounds ridiculous but trust me, she was ridiculously crazy. Trust me (uh-huh.)
Moral Values: DON'T PLAY WITH ANYONE NAMED TOBY OR BLOODY MARY AND BEWARE WITH THE GRANDMA!
Ratings: First I wanted to give 3.5 out of 5 but there is so much questions that are left unanswered. So I give this movie 3 out of 5. It was a good movie to watch but at the end, you can't help but to wonder when Paranormal Activity 4 will be filmed because you will have this peculiar feeling that this movie is just the starter.
p/s: Paranormal Activity 4 - book me the tickets!
